With 600 km
of pistes completely inter-linked by ski lifts, it's the biggest fully inter-linked ski area in the
world. The area covers three valleys:
- Les Allues Valley with the resorts of Brides-les-Bains, Meribel Village,
Meribel-les-Allues and Meribel-Mottaret;
- Courchevel Valley including Le Praz or Courchevel 1300, Courchevel 1550,
Moriond or Courchevel 1650 and finally Courchevel 1850, as well as La Tania;
- Belleville Valley with St-Martin-de-Belleville, Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
The ski area has been extended to the Maurienne Valley, thanks to a telecabin
coming up from Orelle.
Of the 330 pistes that make up the ski area, 13% are green, 39% blue, 38% red
and 10% black, which means that half the pistes are easy and half are expert
pistes. The ski area is as well planned for beginners and
children as for experienced skiers. Thanks to their natural
qualities and a regular and well-thought out supply of artificial snow, the 3
Valleys can guarantee snow from the beginning of December.
